Efektivitas Peran Dukungan Suami Terhadap Pemberian Air Susu Ibu 1 Bulan Pertama Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Astambul Tahun 2020

Abstrak

Based on data from South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office in 2018, Banjar District ranks at the second lowest in terms of exclusive breastfeeding. According to data from the Banjar District Health Office in 2017, the Astambul Public Health Center were the 3rd lowest exclusive breastfeeding coverage (22.60%) and in 2018 decreased, which is ranked the 2nd lowest (7.2%). One factor that affects exclusive breastfeeding is family or husband support. This study aims to determine the effectiveness husband support for breastfeeding the first month at Astambul Public Health Center in 2020. This research uses Quasy Experiment with Post Test Only Control Grop Design. The population in this study was all 3rd trimetser pregnant women amount 81 people and the sample was 48 people divided into 2 groups: 24 people at the intervention group and 24 people at the intervention group, was used Purposive Sampling method. The test used  the Mann-Whitney U-Test statistical test. The results showed the intervention group (95.8%) give breastfeeding the first 1 month while the control group only (8.3%) that gives breastfeeding at the first 1 month. Mann-Whitney U- test results was 0.000  (α<0.05). This means that the influence of the role of husband's support for breastfeeding for the first 1 month. The effectiveness of the husband's support intervention of the first month breastfeeding was 95.4% compared with no intervention. The husband support shows a greater level of effectiveness in breastfeeding for the firts 1 month. It is recommended for health workers to involve husband in counseling or tithing activities related to breastfeeding and the husband is expected to pay more attention to breastfeeding issues in order to provide support in breastfeeding.
